Our Story
Simplistic Xpressions was created by a firefighter for firefighters, first responders, healthcare workers and those who deeply admire the dedication and bravery of the men and women in those professions. Inspired by these everyday heroes, we design simple, meaningful t-shirts that allow individuals to express their strength, respect, and gratitude, in a lighthearted yet meaningful way. Each design reflects the courage and compassion that drives these vital professions. A fun and meaningful way to Xpress yourself.
How We Got Here
After 20 years in Retail Corporate Security, I decided that I want to do something more meaningful. I wanted to be part of something bigger than myself. So I decided to pursue a long time dream of becoming a firefighter. I attended the Fire Academy twice, first through the Call/Volunteer program, then again through the Career Recruit program after being hired full-time. Soon after I attended Paramedic School as a condition of my employment and became a Nationally Certified Paramedic at the end of 2024.
The Inspiration
The inspiration for Simplistic Xpressions came from my time at the Fire Academy, then again during my time at Paramedic School. Those long days and long hours training and studying, to achieve the humble goal of civil service, made me realize that one the best ways to share that sense of pride is through Self Xpressions off the job. What we do is not easy so “We Work Hard and Play Hard”. The training ground was an abundant source of inspiration, the things we said to get through the pain, to laugh or to encourage each other, were made to be on a t-shirt. Humor is paramount to getting through our day both as Firefighters and as Medics. I wanted that to be at the forefront of our designs (fun, lighthearted, yet expressive, powerful) and showing admirations for those who put themselves on the line and serve our communities.
